In-Clinic Pediatric Physical Therapy
We Know That Every Step Forward is a Big Deal
That's why our pediatric physical therapy sessions are designed to help kids improve their gross motor abilities, reach critical developmental milestones, and gain the confidence they need to explore their world!
What Does an In-Clinic Physical Therapy Appointment Look Like?
At developt, every session is tailored to your child's unique needs and goals. While we offer a variety of appointment types— in-clinic, intensive, in-home, and virtual—here's what you can expect during a typical in-clinic pediatric physical therapy session!
First, You Need to Find Us
Easy enough! Our clinic is in Saskatoon, at 1216 8th St. East. That's between Munroe and Cairns Ave.
Most importantly? Parking is convenient and free.
A Warm Welcome
We start each session by checking in with you and your child.
We'll talk about their progress since the last visit, any new challenges or successes, and adjust the day's plan to meet their needs.
Activities That Target Key Skills
Our therapy sessions are hands-on and engaging, using age-appropriate activities to help your child build:
Coordination: Through games and movements that improve how their body works together.
Strength: Activities designed to build core and limb muscles essential for stability.
Balance: Focused exercises to improve control and prevent falls.
Flexibility: Movements that encourage smoother, more natural motion.
Whether your child is learning to sit independently, improving their walking pattern, or developing skills like jumping or climbing, our activities are all about supporting their progress toward developmental milestones.
Real-Time Feedback and Adjustments
During each session, we carefully observe your child's movement patterns. This allows us to provide immediate feedback, correct form, and make adjustments to ensure the exercises are both safe and effective.
Collaboration with Families
We know that physical therapy doesn't end when the session is over. That's why we always include parents and caregivers in the process!
After every appointment, we'll chat about what we worked on, provide tips for continuing the progress at home, and answer your questions.
